April has been a busy month for the Transcending Boundaries organizers!

At the tail end of March we were at the Five College Queer Gender & Sexuality Conference at Hampshire College.  We had a lot of great conversations with folks and several of us even presented workshops on bisexuality, polyamory and more!  Thanks to everyone who spent time with us.

Our Call For Presenters is now open, and we've already received some great programming proposals!  Remember, workshops this year will be accepted on a rolling bases, and spaces are limited, so get yours in early.  

The second discussion gathering in Hartford, CT took place April 11th.  We had a great time discussing how we have changed over time and what changes we've seen in the world around us.  You can join us next month, and every second Tuesday at the Hartford Gay & Lesbian Health Collective, 1841 Broad Street.  We will be having a potluck social time from 6:30 to 7:00 and then sitting to talk from 7:00 to 8:30.  May's topic is Families.

We've been updating and finalizing our resource pamphlets, so keep an eye out at your next pride event for us!  New pamphlets on polyamory, transgender and queer identities are also in the works.

On Sunday, April 15th, the Communications team met.  We will be looking for writers to help with the blog.  We will also be updating our media kit soon and finalizing our postcards.  

We also held a general Organizers Meeting.  This one was smaller than some in the past, but we still made a lot of progress!  You can now become a Sponsor of the conference, advertise in our conference handbook or have a table to sell items or promote your work.  

We also discussed a very silly Halloween surprise for Saturday night and events to advertise at in the next few months.  Our next event is Northampton Pride on May 12th, at the Three County Fairgrounds.  Come and say hi to us, find out the most up-to-date news and look through our resource pamphlets.  

You can still be involved in planning TBC 2012!  The Content Committee will be meeting Saturday, April 21, from 2-4 in Worcester, MA.  Our next general organizer meeting will be at Noho Pride, May 12th, time to be announced, as to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy Mother's Day.
