December's Second Meeting

On Sunday, December 18th, we held our second organizers' committee meeting.  With 15 people physically in attendance and another 8 on Skype, it was a very full meeting.

 

Ian led the meeting, first discussing this year's organizational structure; there are 5 teams, each with a director, divided up as follows:

 

Content (manages the weekend's programming) - Jenn

Communications (manages advertising and publications) - Julia

Operations (manages physical space needs) - Aimee

Membership (manages registration and attendee needs) - Sara (aka Leprechaun)

Investments (manages financial support for the event) - Micah

 

After volunteers were found for each team we discussed the proposals we had received from several hotels and conference centers in Connecticut and Massachusetts.  Other places were discussed, but had not responded to our request for proposals.  No facility had the perfect combination of dates, spaces and meeting our budgetary needs, however after much conversation a potential selection was made.  We hope to have an announcement very soon with the date and location.
